Leadership
Unity in Action is led by a working board of directors and a small staff of community-rooted professionals. The people behind this organization live here, work here, and are committed to this region for the long haul.
Amira Davis
Founder and Executive Director
Amira is a leadership consultant, author, and community advocate based in Endicott, New York. She founded Unity in Action to expand access to leadership development, mentorship, and capacity building across the Southern Tier. A graduate of SUNY Broome and Binghamton University, she serves on the Greater Binghamton Chamber's Governmental Affairs Committee, chairs the DEI Committee for the American Red Cross, and mentors local entrepreneurs.
Sammy Davis
Co-Founder and Vice President
Sammy leads Unity in Action's reentry work at Broome County Jail, working directly with men preparing to return to their communities. His focus is practical mentorship, life skills, and the kind of long-term support that helps people build a stable life on the other side.

Eileen Peet
Aaron is a native of Endicott and a graduate of Union-Endicott High School. He is currently pursuing a degree in Business Analytics with a minor in Economics. He brings perspective and energy to working with young people, helping them feel heard while holding a high bar for respect and presence in the room.
Margaret brings nonprofit marketing and communications experience to Unity in Action. Her work spans donor development, fundraising, grant writing, strategic partnerships, and community outreach. She helps the organization connect with the funders, partners, and communities the mission depends on.
Eileen is a strategic communications expert and co-facilitator of Evolved Impact, Unity in Action's women's leadership program. She brings marketing, brand development, and community engagement experience that helps the organization connect with the people and partners it serves.
Benjamin Harting
Roger Hanson
Ben leads financial oversight and business operations on the Unity in Action board, with expertise in budgeting, fiscal management, and strategic risk analysis. He brings the financial discipline a young nonprofit needs to grow with integrity, along with strong community ties across the region.
Roger brings deep nonprofit governance experience to Unity in Action. He provides strategic guidance on program development and helps the organization stay grounded in its core values of education, equity, and empowerment.

Maryann
Maryann brings warmth, professionalism, and thoughtful support to the executive coaching experience, helping clients feel welcomed, understood, and well cared for from the first point of contact. With a calm and detail-oriented approach, she supports program coordination, client communication, and the smooth delivery of 1:1 coaching services, ensuring every interaction feels seamless, confidential, and aligned with the high standards of the practice.
