Amira Davis, Founder and President
Founder and Executive Director of Unity in Action: A D5 Initiative Inc., and co-owner of D5 Consulting Group LLC. Amira leads the organization's mission to advance education, equity, and empowerment across Upstate New York. Her vision centers on removing barriers to professional development for underserved populations and creating sustainable community transformation through comprehensive programming and strategic partnerships.

Sammy Davis, Founder and Vice President
Vice President and Co-Founder of Unity in Action with a background in law enforcement and direct experience working with justice-involved populations. Sammy has spent two years developing and delivering programming for incarcerated individuals, bringing practical insight into reentry challenges and skill-building approaches. His expertise strengthens Unity in Action's commitment to supporting successful community reintegration through the organization's reentry programs.

Margaret Tatich
Marketing communications and donor development professional with over 25 years of experience in nonprofit advocacy, grant writing, and strategic communications. Margaret's expertise spans brand messaging, fundraising, donor relations, and event coordination across multiple platforms. Her deep knowledge of nonprofit operations strengthens Unity in Action's capacity to build sustainable funding and community partnerships.

Roger Hanson
Roger Hanson, Board Member
Co-founder of Limitlessness Publishing and owner of Owego Home interior design studio. Roger brings extensive international human resources leadership experience across Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa, holding the Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) designation. He also serves on the boards of the Goodwill Theatre Company and Kilmer Mansion in Binghamton.

Eileen Peet
Sales and Marketing Manager at Southern Tier Network and owner of Wendell Street Marketing & Documentation LLC. Eileen brings over 25 years of expertise in marketing communications, donor development, brand strategy, and nonprofit advocacy. Her experience spans business development, community engagement, and driving organizational growth across diverse sectors.
Ben Harting
Captain with the Broome County Sheriff's Office. Ben served in the United States Air Force as Security Forces, achieving the rank of Technical Sergeant (E6), with active duty from 2000 to 2006 and Air Force National Guard service through 2012. He deployed to Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, bringing leadership and public safety expertise to the board.

Aaron Davis, Treasurer
Union-Endicott High School alumnus currently pursuing a degree in Business Analytics with a minor in Economics. Aaron's passion for empowering young people and his commanding classroom presence make him a valuable voice for youth perspectives. His education and relatable connection with students strengthen Unity in Action's commitment to educational improvement.
Mike Karr
Former owner of Culligan Water Conditioning with 16 years of business leadership experience. Mike served as a Crew Chief on KC-135 aircraft in the United States Air Force from 1992 to 1996. He brings expertise in sales management, operations, and business development to Unity in Action's financial oversight.
